Humber’s largest campus is situated in northwest Toronto adjacent to the Humber River. The North Library serves the communities of Humber, University of Guelph-Humber and the Centre for Skilled Trades and Technology. All Library spaces, services and resources are located in the Learning Resource Commons (LRC) building.

The North Library is located on the fourth floor of the Learning Resource Commons. Below is a list of what you’ll find when you visit.

Library services

  • Library team members are available to assist you with research assignments.
  • The circulation desk team can help you sign out Library items, access resources and use your Library Account.

Library spaces

  • Bookable group study rooms equipped with collaborative multimedia equipment
  • Quiet study rooms and individual seating
  • Windows and Mac computer workstations
  • Printers (both black and white and colour) with copying and scanning functions
  • The Children’s Area, designed for caregivers and kids to study and play side by side
  • The Humber Archives, with rotating exhibits and thousands of fascinating items from Humber’s history

Physical collections

  • Humber and University of Guelph-Humber books, textbooks, journals, magazines and DVDs

The North Learning Commons is located on the third floor of the Learning Resource Commons. Some study spaces in the Learning Commons are open 24/7 for Humber and University of Guelph-Humber students. Below is a list of what you’ll find when you visit.

Learning Commons services

  • The support desk team is available to answer your questions and help you sign out equipment.

Learning Commons spaces

  • Bookable group study rooms equipped with collaborative multimedia equipment
  • Quiet study rooms and individual seating
  • Adaptive Technology Room with 10 workstations
  • Windows and Mac computer workstations
  • Printers (both black and white and colour) with copying and scanning functions
  • The Idea Lab, featuring media production studios, fabrication tools and digital resources

The North Idea Lab is located on the third floor of the North Learning Commons.

Have an idea? Bring it to life with our collection of media production studios, fabrication tools and digital resources for current Humber and University of Guelph-Humber students, faculty and staff.

The Idea Lab has the following specialized tools and equipment to turn your creative vision into reality:

  • 3D printers
  • Cricut Maker 3 (desktop cutting machine) and heat press
  • Audio recording studio
  • Video and photography studio

Visit the Idea Lab to book a space, borrow equipment, discover online resources, learn new skills and get assignment help.

Humber Archives

Visit the Humber Archives to explore thousands of fascinating items from Humber’s history, including student newspapers, photographs and more. Browse rotating exhibits and chat with our knowledgeable and friendly archival team.

The Archives are located in LRC 4068 in the North Library.

University of Guelph-Humber students, faculty and staff are welcome to access all Library services, spaces and resources.

University of Guelph-Humber textbooks and books are integrated into, and can be borrowed from, the North Library collection.
